Chase bank have to be the biggest crooks out there right now! I have complained about their practices to the OCC via www.helpwithmybank.gov and urge anyone having issue with CHASE CROOK BANK to do the same!
I also complained to my local congressman to get the laws changed that allow Chase to continue to steal from the unfortunate, and line their fat pockets!!
The issue I have with Chase bank is as follows....
1. They do their transactions between 12 midnight and 6am, however they date the transaction for the previous day, thereby allowing them to charge $34 a pop on each O/D fee, even if its as small as .10c or 1 cent, my problem with this is, they should date it the day they are doing it, thereby allowing customers to cover any shortages from another account that does have money in it! Since there is no OD charge for same day transactions, that is why they purposely date the transactions for the day prior, it benefits the banks fat pockets, and kills people like me, of which there are many on Google!
2. They also do their transactions largest first smallest last, again to their benefit, it should be done in the order it was done by the customer.
3. Wamu never charged for any shortages under $2, Chase charges for 1 cent shortage $34, this is worse than a loan shark and should be illegal, the customer should have a chance to fix the shortage, this bank does not give us a chance to do so, this must be big money for them im sure, but its immoral and wrong and I think they are thieves.
